About Easy Car

EasyCar is a British car rental broker founded in 2000 by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the entrepreneur behind easyJet. It operates as part of the easyGroup family of brands. Originally launched with its own fleet of Mercedes-Benz A-Class vehicles, EasyCar has since evolved into a comparison platform offering bookings across over 170 countries and 45,000 locations. The company previously ran a peer-to-peer car sharing service (easyCar Club), which ceased operations in 2018. EasyCar currently holds a "Poor" rating on Trustpilot.

Method

Historical Trustpilot data comes from Wayback Machine snapshots of public review pages. We first estimate each domain separately, then aggregate them at company level and merge the latest current Trustpilot month when available. Gaps remain estimated because many dates were never archived.

Snapshot note

The platform counts above use the live cross-platform review dataset. The Trustpilot series below combines Wayback archive points with the latest available Trustpilot snapshot, so the ending point can still differ from the current cross-platform snapshot.

Methodology and interpretation guide

How to read this profile, where data comes from, and what constraints to keep in mind.

This profile combines ratings, traffic, suppliers, and language coverage into a consistent comparative frame. The goal is directional clarity, not perfect prediction.

Interpret trends as movement signals over available history windows. Short history can still be useful, but confidence is lower and should be treated carefully.

Known limitations: Some metrics refresh on different cadences, and platform coverage can vary by company. Always pair this view with business context before making high-impact decisions.

Quick FAQ

Why can a company have strong rating but weaker reliability?

Reliability combines multiple signals. A strong rating can be offset by weaker traffic, coverage, or limited data depth.

Why can ratings differ across review platforms?

Each platform has a different customer mix and review volume. Check both the aggregated score and the spread between sources before drawing conclusions.

What should I check first on this page?

Start with the rating, review volume, spread between review sources, latest update month, and the strengths and risks summary. Together they give the fastest trust read.
